Hugh here. I have a big family. You might notice from our Christmas picture. As the oldest in my family, I remember that when my sister Moriah was born my dad was interviewed by the local press. When asked why he had so many children he spoke this verse:
“Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hands. How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame…”
Psalm 127:4-5 New Living Translation
It is interesting to watch how God uses all of the kids in my family for his glory. Like arrows into a dark world. This week Moriah has been visiting with Becky and I in Texas. Last semester she felt God leading her to be part of a YWAM outreach in India. She is leaving next week to continue her journey with God in faith, participating in a YWAM school in Germany.
As we see God at work in others’ lives, we are reminded of his faithfulness to guide and provide as we step out in faith toward what God has for us next. Please pray with us for Moriah in the days ahead. You can find out more about how to specifically pray from her blog.
